negligence in the death of Diego Maradona: doctor and lawyer speak of suspicious failures in medical care | Other Soccer Leagues

Diego Maradona died this Wednesday, at his home, without the aid agencies being able to revive him, according to information from the Argentine press.

According to the official report, the idol suffered “acute heart failure, in a patient with dilated cardiomyopathy, chronic congestive heart failure that generated acute lung edema.”

The San Isidro Attorney General’s Office and forensic medical experts from the San Fernando Morgue reviewed the body and came to this conclusion, although for some close to the former player there were strange things during the death.

This Thursday the lawyer and friend of Diego, Matías Morla, published a statement in which he questions the performance of the health services and describes as “criminal idiocy” the delay of half an hour of the ambulance that traveled to Maradona’s house.

“As for the report from the San Isidro Prosecutor’s Office, it is inexplicable that for 12 hours my friend has had no attention or control from health personnel dedicated to these ends,” he added.

Meanwhile, Maradona’s ex-doctor, Alfredo Cahe, assured “a doctor must have been constantly in his room. He was not cared for as he should ”.

“It did not seem logical to me to be discharged because of Diego’s painting, he should have stayed not only in that Clinic but in a deeply interned place, with a different infrastructure, like when we took him to Cuba, where everyone protested but they did things very well ”, added the expert.

Accusations come and go and it is part of what Diego suffered in life and, apparently, will continue to happen after his death.
