This Sunday, a “time slot” will open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for children up to 14 years old to break the quarantine accompanied by a representative, Maduro reported in a telephone pass transmitted by the state television station VTV.
The permit for people over 65 will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local, added the Chavista leader.
“It is an experiment (…) so that all the communities a kilometer around can walk,” said the president.

The measure excludes the touristy Isla Margarita, where a night curfew was decreed due to a COVID-19 outbreak that arose in a baseball academy. “In Nueva Esparta the hand is not loose yet,” said Maduro.
Among the measures to contain the coronavirus in Venezuela, where there are 318 confirmed cases and 10 officially deceased, the Maduro government suspended work activities, except for essential sectors such as food or health.
Since March 16, Caracas and six states abide by a quarantine that expanded the following day to the entire country and that security forces enforce in popular sectors.
