(CNN Spanish) – After several days of negotiations, FC Barcelona confirmed this Wednesday that Luis Suárez will be transferred to Atlético de Madrid.
The Catalan club issued a statement stating that “Atleti” will pay him almost US $ 7 million (6 million euros) in variables for the record of the Uruguayan striker.
“FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Luis Suárez for his commitment and dedication and wishes him good luck and success in the future,” said Barça from its official website.
The 33-year-old attacker will go through the big door. The Blaugrana institution confirmed that it will organize an act and a press conference this Thursday to bid the player farewell.
