Fabián Ángel will return to Barranquilla this Friday in a private plane sent by Junior, after the airline that hired the team refused to return it with the entire group of players who were in Chile after playing the game against Coquimbo Unido, in the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana .

“It should be arriving this Friday at noon,” declared Héctor Fabio Báez, Junior’s manager, in dialogue with Deporte Espectacular, a program on the virtual station ‘A un Click Radio’.

Angel tested positive for Covid-19 in some tests carried out on some team members when landing in Santiago last Monday.

The Chilean health authorities immediately demanded to isolate the brand’s wheel and three players who had close contact with him: Reinaldo Fontalvo, Luis Sandoval and Michael Rangel.

These last three were prevented from taking part in the game that the rojiblancos won 1-0, despite having negative results in the exams, which meant the Sharks faced the commitment with only two substitutes (both defenders).

Fontalvo, Sandoval and Rangel did return to Barranquilla on Thursday night, in the company of the entire delegation, after several hours of waiting on a bus and other inconveniences.

Junior tried to get Ángel to return on the charter flight with the entire group, with the corresponding isolation and biosecurity measures, but Avianca airline denied that possibility.
