From the Villas del Progreso institution, which she visited this Thursday, the president referred to the decisions that the authorities will adopt for next weekend, in Bogotá.

As he said, the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá will follow the recommendation made by the Ministry of Health in recent days so that there are no parties on that date, because it considers it “responsible and correct.”

In that sense, López ruled out the curfew, but confirmed that children will have restrictions to go out to the streets or shopping centers to ask for sweets.

So this year, Halloween is celebrated at home […] It is not safe or biosecure, neither for children nor for parents, to go out ”, he pointed out.

As López referred to the subject in a school, where there were several minors listening to her, she asked the parents that “they are not going to kill the hearts of the children that there is not going to be Halloween” and invited them to make the children’s party, but in a different way and that appeal to creativity in their homes:

“We are going to turn the house a treasure route to discover the sweets and see where they are. We are going to play at home, we are going to share virtually with other friends. We are going to dress up, but in the house“.

To close her speech, the mayor assured that Bogota citizens have responded correctly to the authorities’ recommendations without the need to impose a measure as restrictive as a curfew, and that is why it will not be done this time either.

In addition, he left the door open for his administration to share in the coming days a “very clear orientation on how to celebrate Halloween this year in a biosecure way at home.”

Precisely, this Thursday, October 22, a few days before that special date for children, Bogotá registered 2,299 new patients and 36 victims, and was the city with the highest numbers in the daily bulletin.
