Three burned in Cesar
Despite the campaigns against gunpowder and the decrees that restricted its use, In the department of Cesar, three were burned by the manipulation of these explosives, according to the official report of the Departmental Health Secretariat.

The testimony of the injured woman states that “she was at home and while she was watching the gunpowder burn, traces of the element fell into her eyes.”
The third of those affected, the one with the greatest severity, is a 31 year old man, who in the municipality of Pueblo Bello, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the north of Cesar, he was handling a rocket when it exploded in his left hand.
When he was transferred to a health center, the doctors determined that it was necessary to amputate two fingers.
So far in December in Cesar there have been 10 burned with gunpowder, with ages of 2, 7, 12, 14, 17, 19, 30, 31, 33 and 41 years, respectively, in the municipalities of San Alberto, El Copey, Aguachica, Curumaní, La Paz, González, Pueblo Bello and Valledupar.

The cases of children injured with gunpowder occurred in the municipalities of Santa Ana and Plato, while a drunken adult ended up injured in the municipality of Zona Bananera.
EL HERALDO learned that the children involved ended up with first degree burns and they do not present complications in their state of health.
The departmental Health Secretariat called on the Magdalena’s parents to take action in the face of these events so there are no more explosive incidents in the remainder of 2020.
On the other hand, the district health secretary, Henrique Toscano Salas, pointed out that in Santa Marta on Christmas night there were no incidents with gunpowder.
“There were no burns in Santa Marta so we invite the community to continue behaving in such a beneficial way for the health of the Samarians ”, said Toscano.
The Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta attended more than a dozen fights in the capital of Magdalena, presented by the mixture of alcohol and intolerance.
Two people wounded with a knife were admitted to the Gaira health post on the morning of December 25.
Guajira
Throughout the department of La Guajira there were celebrations and gunpowder burned to welcome Christmas, but fortunately there is not a single report of people burned or affected in some way by using that item.
