The Vice Minister of Health, Luis Alexander Moscoso, presented a balance of the increase in cases in the main cities and departments during the month of December.
The official presented the differentiated classification between low, moderate and high growth. In low, it is when the increase in cases is less than 10%. Moderate, when the increase is between 20 and 50%. In the high range, are the territories with an increase of more than 51%.
The populations with high increase are Bogotá, Cúcuta, Cali, Pereira and Ibagué. Regarding departments, Atlántico, Norte de Santander, Nariño and Valle del Cauca record acceleration of infections.
“The city that worries us the most is Bogotá. It had a very large increase in the number of deaths, we passed between December 21 and 25 to about 30 people. In addition, we present a very important growth in the occupation of intensive care units ”, declared Moscoso.
