Colombian professional soccer resumed activities last week, with the two matches of the Super League, in which Junior was crowned champion, and then, with the two games that were postponed in the League, Cali vs. Millionaires and Grass vs. Tolima.

Starting this Friday, the Dimayor scheduled the ninth date of the League, But the two games that are on the calendar to be played in Bogotá were in doubt until this Thursday, because the biosecurity protocols had not been approved.

Javier Suárez, technical deputy director of IDRD parks, announced that there is already authorization and both the Techo and El Campín stadiums will be able to be used.

This Friday, Equidad will receive Boyacá Chicó at Techo (6 pm), While Millonarios will face Once Caldas on Saturday at 8 pm, in El Campín.

What was the reason for the delay? The IDRD had not received permission from the Bogotá Health Secretariat, which requested modifications to the biosafety protocol.

For their part, sources from the Ministry of Health assured that the situation arose because Dimayor was late in delivering the biosafety protocols. In the case of the Techo stadium, the document arrived on Wednesday at 11:14 in the morning. The secretariat responded that same day, at 3:55 in the afternoon with some adjustments and Dimayor returned it this Thursday at 12:22 in the afternoon.

Regarding El Campín, Dimayor sent the protocol twice, with some changes. The first one arrived at the Secretariat on Wednesday at 9:53 p.m. and then sent it with the modifications this Thursday at 11:24 a.m. The two documents have already been approved.

It should be remembered that a match that was scheduled in the capital was already postponed, at the resumption of the promotion tournament: the game between Bogotá and Unión Magdalena was postponed, according to Dimayor, due to the “positive result from the PCR tests carried out on one of the clubs.” The match was rescheduled for Saturday at 11 am
