“Jupp Heynckes had a very special connection with players that went beyond soccer. James (Rodríguez) is a good example of this. We knew that this player was of very high quality, but he could not take him to the field for a long time. Jupp looked after him and we saw a great James who became an important part of the team. ”

It should be remembered that the Colombian, who signed for the ‘Bavarian’ team in 2017, could not consolidate after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti and was losing prominence, but with the arrival of Heynckes he was able to show his talent.
