Given the increase in cases of covid-19 in Medellín, but especially given the increase in the occupation of intensive care beds, special measures were taken for this holiday bridge.
The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, said that after evaluating the issue with the Advisory Committee and with the Governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, and the Mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, Special measures were taken taking into account that a festive bridge is coming that includes the celebration of Halloween.

In that sense, Minister Ruiz said that there will be a restriction on mobility from Thursday, October 29 until Tuesday, November 3 for minors, between 6 in the afternoon and 6 in the morning.
During those same days there will be restriction of adult mobility between 10 at night to 6 in the morning.
But it is not the only thing. IThere will also be dry law from 6 pm on Friday and zero hours on Tuesday.
The minister clarified that these measures may be adjusted, basically expanded, according to the conditions that the territories are seen by the governor.

President Iván Duque said that what they seek is to slow down the virus, have greater control and, of course, to the extent that it is a weekend that has a bridge and is also coincident with the celebration of the day of the kids.
