Governor of Huila decreed a curfew throughout the department • La Nación

The measure will take effect from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day. The decree will be in force from tomorrow, December 24 until next January 11.

Restrictions, recommendations and measures such as the ‘Curfew’ are part of Decree 0344 signed by the governor of Huila Luis Enrique Dussán López, after holding security meetings and chairing a Departmental Council for Disaster Risk Management. The objectives are to stop the spread of Covid-19, avoid new cases of children burned with gunpowder, reduce accidents and acts of violence related to the excessive consumption of intoxicating beverages during the holidays.

In this sense, it is decreed, first, to adopt all the measures ordered by the Presidency of the Republic related to selective isolation. Second, curfew in all the municipalities of the Department, prohibiting the movement and movement of people and vehicles between ten o’clock (22:00) and until five (05:00 am) of the next day, from December 24, 2020 to January 11, 2021, taking into account some exceptions established in the Decree and the modification that are established by the municipal mayors.

It is also prohibited sale and consumption of intoxicating beverages in public spaces and commercial establishments at the same hours and time established for the curfew; meetings with a capacity greater than those authorized by the protocols established by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, both in public and private places and holding events in all municipalities (municipal capitals, populated centers and sidewalks), from Huila to new notice, involving the meeting or influx of more than fifty (50) people.
