Clara Luz Roldán, governor of Valle del Cauca, was admitted this Wednesday to a clinic in Cali.

The departmental president confirmed, via Twitter, that she decided to confine herself to the Imbanaco Medical Center, “due to symptoms presented today (Wednesday).”

At this health center, he said, “I was informed that I have a respiratory condition.”

Roldán does not rule out having contracted covid-19, a disease that already leaves 48,127 infections in Valle del Cauca since the beginning of the pandemic.

Therefore, he explained, he is “waiting to confirm if it is covid-19.”

“God and the Virgin are with us and whatever the result, we will succeed,” reflected Roldán.

During the pandemic, the president has been tested several times for covid-19, which, until now, has always been negative.

Around 10:00 pm, the decree was made public by which Sandra Milena Romero Padilla, current head of the private office of the office, is charged with the functions of the president “for a term of ten business days, from the date (…) without leaving his current position “.
