The Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, specified the special surveillance areas in the city for being the ones that concentrate the rate of higher covid-19 contagion and deaths from this disease.
Starting this Monday, May 11 and until next May 23, various sectors of the town of Kennedy will take special care after the orange alert was decreed.
The measure includes:
- UPZ Bavaria: New Alsace and Marseille neighborhoods
- UPZ Calandaima: Tintala, Galán and Osorio neighborhoods
- UPZ Patio Bonito: Patio Bonito neighborhood
- UPZ Corabastos: María Paz neighborhood.

Who lives in these places they can only leave the house for what is strictly essential such as buying food or medicine, meeting medical appointments or taking the pet near the house.
“We have asked all the sectors that are being restarted to restart with workers from locations other than Kennedy, for now the people of Kennedy who work at home, stay at home,” said the mayor of Bogotá.Minors may not go out to play sports or walk as authorized by the National Government.

The Police and the Army will control the entry and exit of these neighborhoods and actions such as:
- Constant epidemiological surveillance
- Massive case testing
- Enhanced pedagogy
- Aid focused on vulnerable people in the area
- Permanent health brigades
- Permanent police control
- Constant disinfection of public areas
Mandatory self-care measures
- Always wear face masks, not using it may generate fines.
- Be at a distance of more than one meter
- Wash your hands every three hours
