According to the preliminary report, the crew of a helicopter, belonging to the Army’s Air Assault Division, managed to perform a successful maneuver to land the emergency aircraft.
The incident occurred in a rural area of the municipality of Tarazá, Antioquia, specifically one kilometer south of the Piedras military base, while the occupants carried out support operations.
The injured were immediately taken to a health center in the city of Montería, where according to official information they are in good condition.
“It is to clarify that, according to the first medical report, the crew made up of four people has minor injuries and traumas that do not compromise their health,” said the military entity and added that the timely reaction of the pilots and crew executed the emergency procedures that saved their lives.
An investigation group travels to the scene of the events to initiate inquiries to determine the reasons for what happened to the Huey 5402 aircraft.
