Jose Maria Hernandez Alviz, the father by Seuxis Pausias Hernández Solarte, better known by his alias by Jesús Santrich, died in a clinic in the city of Sincelejo where he was hospitalized for health problems.
Hernández Alviz was a renowned 80-year-old teacher who had retired from the teaching profession, and who in recent months had presented health problems.

Jesús Santrich had shared with his father for the last time in mid-2019 after taking office as a congressman.
