Canada is a country that increasingly opens the doors to Colombians to study or work there. For example, in recent weeks several job calls were carried out that they were looking for personnel for up to 50 different occupations.

In fact, a couple of months ago it was also confirmed that for most of the professions they are looking for in that country there are enough possibilities that those interested also apply to Canadian residency, so that they can fully establish themselves in that country.

Not only has good news come from there for Colombian professionals seeking opportunities in Canada, but there is also good news for young people who intend to travel for a time to that country to study the academic program of their interestEither in a public or private university, or in various academies and institutions that also offer interesting courses.

New facilities to study in Canada

In recent months, The Canadian government has made two decisions that end up facilitating the necessary procedures to carry out studies in that country. Both are aimed at the regulation that covers foreign students and the budget that the authorities allocate for scholarships to which young people from all over the world can apply.

Previously, Colombian students who studied in Canada and did not enjoy many financial resources could only work 20 hours a week, and they had to do it within the facilities of the academic institution in which they were enrolled. Now, that same group of students will be able to work up to 40 a week, if they do so in activities related to health, infrastructure or food supply, according to the newspaper El Tiempo.

Similarly, the Canadian government increased the budget that will finance student scholarships for young people from around the world by Canadian $ 9 billion starting next year. Thus, there will be more opportunities to find an academic program that offers financial incentives to those interested.

Among the advantages of studying in Canada is the fact that several companies highly value foreign graduates from various careers to hire them. For that reason, it is that that country provides facilities to people who need to change their student visa for a work one, highlighted El Tiempo.

Taking it to the economic field, the cost of living is much cheaper in Canada than in other countries like the United States, largely because its currency does not have such an abysmal conversion with the Colombian peso. One Canadian dollar is around 2,600 Colombian pesos, while the US dollar exceeds 3,600 Colombian pesos and the euro 4,300 Colombian pesos.
