Journalist Amaury Bucco reported that a man is threatening to set off an explosive device, but so far the police have not found the bomb or the suspect, points out the British newspaper Express, which also says authorities are still investigating whether the threat is “ legitimate ”.
This was what the journalist said on his Twitter account, quoted by the English newspaper Mirror:
“The perimeter of the Eiffel Tower has been cordoned off; there is a police operation in progress: a man shouted ‘Allah is the greatest!’ and threatens to blow everything up. “
These are videos of police operations in the area surrounding the Eiffel Tower, ppublished by journalist Barthemely Bolo, who confirmed the version of his colleague Amaury Bucco:

This same Tuesday, the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo reported that it received threats from the Al Qaeda group, for the publication of a cartoon of Muhammad on September 2, but so far no relationship has been established between such threats and what is happening in the Eiffel Tower, according to The Sun.
It should be remembered that this publication received an attack in 2015 in which several of the members of its editorial staff died.
From September 14 until October 15, the tower’s normal opening hours are from 10:30 a.m. local time to 6:30 p.m.recalls the Efe agency, which points out that this is the first bomb alert call of the year.
The recent opening of the monument to the public came after the coronavirus pandemic, which forced a closure for security reasons for more than three months. It was the longest since World War II and its reopening took place on June 25.
At that time, the magnificent Parisian tower took advantage of its symbolism to join the demonstrations of solidarity towards health personnel and victims of the coronavirus with the installation, for example, of a luminous poster that for two hours at night sent messages of support to the affected.
