The Supreme Court will have to make a new decision in the next few hours regarding the fate of the senator of ‘la U’ Eduardo Pulgar Daza.

On Tuesday, the Investigation Chamber of the high court ordered his capture, within the process that follows for alleged influence peddling, bribery and violation of electoral limits.

Now, you must decide whether to agree to your defense request that he be transferred for medical reasons.

As reported by EL TIEMPO, Pulgar was captured at the El Dorado airport by the CTI, reviewed and taken to a cell in La Picota.

“It makes you prone to multiple and serious diseases and allows you to undergo the insurance measure in a place that does not endanger your life”, His defense said in the same statement in which he announced that he will request a legality check on his capture.

The origin of the process against Pulgar is a conversation, recorded (in 2017) by the then judge Andrés Rodríguez Caez. He says that the senator offered him a bribe to favor his friend Luis Fernando Acosta Osío in a process. He is the leader of a group that controls the Metropolitan University of Barranquilla and is linked to the Acosta Bendeck Foundation and the Metropolitan University Hospital.

The Court believes it has evidence that the crime of influence peddling (Article 411 of the Penal Code), bribery and violation of electoral limits was established.
