The new cases were presented in La Dorada, Manizales, Marquetalia and Riosucio.
The director of the Territorial Health Directorate, Jimena Aristizábal López, stated that the new infections correspond to three people from the Caldense port who are isolated without respiratory symptoms; a 46-year-old man in Riosucio; a person in Marquetalia who had contact with infected people from the municipality and a person in Manizales, who is hospitalized.
Similarly, reported the fourth death in the department by covid-19. “Unfortunately, today we were informed that the lady we had diagnosed with covid-19 died, was from Norcasia, was 81 years old, and had some health comorbidities.” Aristizábal mentioned. He died in the Intensive Care Unit of the San Félix de La Dorada Hospital.
The coronavirus, according to the official, takes advantage of these weaknesses to attack patients more harshly, so that they have the opportunity to be well cared for in health institutions.
Diego Luis Arango Nieto, director of Br. San Félix, invited Caldenses not to forget about physical isolation. “They have to keep wearing masks, keeping their distance and avoiding crowds.
It is worth remembering that the virus is circulating among us, making it easier to infect us. Here we will continue to do our best for patients ”, he concluded.
The mayor of Riosucio, Marlon Alexander Tamayo, through a video, stated that the infected person is a man who was traveling from the city of Cali to Medellín and was detained in Marmato. The man was transferred to the municipality of Riosucio where the tests were carried out by the covid-19 giving a positive case. “We have all the protocols to identify the people who had contact with the man and thus prevent the spread of the contagion.”
