Despite the risks posed by the coronavirus pandemic to health and life, 33 of every 100 Colombians would not apply the vaccine against this disease. That is one of the revelations of the survey carried out by the National Consulting Center, carried out for the CM & news program and which consulted the opinion of 507 Colombians.
To the question ‘When the vaccine against covid-19 arrives, will you allow yourself to be vaccinated?’, 67% of those surveyed answered yes.
The survey was carried out by telephone, and randomly, to men and women over 18 years old living in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga.

According to the sample, men trust the vaccine more. 73% of them and 62% of the women who were consulted answered yes when asked if they will allow themselves to be vaccinated against the virus.
On the other hand, the survey shows that in cities like Bogotá and Medellín there is a significant majority that plan to get vaccinated (73% of those consulted in each city).
In Barranquilla and Bucaramanga the percentage of people who would eventually allow themselves to be vaccinated is 68% and 62%, respectively. Meanwhile, in Cali that percentage reaches 52%, as the remaining 48% consider not doing so, a considerably high figure compared to the other capitals that participated in the survey.

Another piece of information from this survey is that the 68% of citizens between 18 and 25 years of age will allow themselves to be vaccinated. The same percentage was registered in the case of citizens aged 56 and over.
When the data are detailed by socioeconomic strata, it is found that the percentage of people who will allow themselves to be vaccinated is similar in the three cases: 68% in the high stratum, 62% in the middle stratum, and 69% in the low stratum.
