The new coronavirus pandemic has endangered many lives around the world, especially those of older adults, who have been the population that has needed the most care in recent months.

However, thousands have been the adults who died as a result of covid-19 (a disease caused by the coronavirus) and thousands are also the stories they have left, many of which have transcended and have been known in all corners.
One of those beautiful and striking stories was the one that starred Leslie and Patricia McWaters (both originally from Jackson, Michigan City, in the United States), who were married for 47 years, until the disease took them: both died at the same time, according to the obituary of his death.
They died together
On November 24, at 4:23 in the afternoon, the death of both was declared by the medical personnel who treated them.
“Those of us who know them know that Mommy came first and said, ‘Leslie, it’s time to go!’”, The relatives wrote in the obituary.
His daughter Joanna, in a conversation with the news channel ‘Wdiv’, affiliated with ‘NBC News’, described the death of her parents at the same time as tragic and romantic: “Something like Romeo and Juliet (…) One I would not have wanted to be without the other ”.

A whole life together
Leslie and Patricia were married on April 16, 1973, leaving behind a large family: two daughters, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.. In addition to the friends they made during their life together.
Patricia was a nurse at Foote Allegiance Hospital, Jackson, for 35 years. Leslie was a truck driver. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy Reserve and a member of the Lions Club (international association of volunteers).
They lived almost 50 years of marriage.

According to their relatives in the obituary, both enjoyed going to dance at Julie’s Bar, where they met.

Joanna pointed out to ‘Wdiv’ that they are devastated because it was very difficult to lose them at the same time.

On November 15, Michigan state authorities restricted indoor social gatherings and other group activities due to an increase in cases.
So far (December 2, 2020), the state has reported more than 366,000 cases and more than 9,300 deaths from covid-19, according to official reports.
In the United States, in total, more than 13.7 million cases of coronavirus and more than 270,000 deaths have been reported.
