In the framework of a press conference, the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, and members of his district cabinet announced the measurements which will take effect from Thursday, May 14 in the wholesale central of Bogotá, Corabastos, with the aim of mitigating the risk of contagion within it.
Actions include implementation of a peak and schedule system, to minimize the number of buyers up to levels that are controllable, the implementation of strict biosecurity measures for workers, sellers and buyers, and the prohibition of retail commerce.

The regulations will be complemented by the entry into force of the Orange alert in the UPZ by María Paz y Corabastos, and foresees greater controls in the area surrounding the central supply, particularly with some sources of possible contagion and risk, such as the high crowds of people outside the plant.
It will also serve to totally prohibit street vendor calls outside and inside the wholesale central.
The measurements of biosecurity, announced by the Secretary of Health of Bogota, Alejandro Gómez They are contained in the following specifications:
- Everyone who enters must wear the face mask appropriately.
- Retail entry is prohibited.
- Sole driver and sole helper.
- Go through the disinfection point.
