The recording was made in the month of November, Semana points out, and in it Reinales would be specifying possible commitments related to alleged contracts with hospitals in the coffee region.
In fact, the magazine’s digital channel emphasizes that the congressman, from Liberal Party, mentions the collection of a supposed “purse” in which it would be favored.
“Would you pay me a purse to some hospitals that I have there? I’ll give you the list ”, the representative mentions in the recording.
The magazine even says that in the audio it is mentioned a contract at the San Jorge hospital, in Risaralda, so that the turnover there increased by 3,000 million pesos.
In addition, in the recording it is heard that the representative Reinales tells how he would benefit: “What is my income there? The Commission. That is my income and that is what I live on […]. I do the homework, I do the management, I screw here and I screw there, I ‘marique’ there.
Reinales admits that he appears in the recording, but qualifies it
Quoted by Semana, the liberal said that he was at the meeting, but that the audio was edited to make it look bad. It further maintains that during their dialogue there were no irregularities.
In that sense, the congressman justified himself and told El Tiempo that its function “is to ensure the welfare of the hospital network […] it is an institutional task, not a personal one ”.
Later, he tried to explain in the newspaper that when he mentioned the word “commission” I was talking about the Seventh Health Commission, in the Legislative.
“When I speak of commission […] I am referring to the commission to which I belong and to which corresponds the political control ”, he added in the form.
Congressman Reinales would have to go to Court and to the Attorney General’s Office
In light of the revelations made with the audio, the parliamentarian – according to Semana – must respond to the Instruction Room of the Supreme Court of Justice. In addition, the audio will also reach the Attorney, for which he would face judicial and disciplinary sanctions.
In addition to Reinales, two more congressmen would be involved in the complaint for, allegedly, being involved in the crimes of concussion and moral violence against public servant, assured the magazine.
Although the names were not revealed, that outlet assured that they are two representatives of the Seventh Commission who have sought to favor the EPS Medimás.
