“The application ‘My Vaccine’ will allow each person to review” the databases and thus consult the nominal lists of those who will be vaccinated in the first phases, “explained the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz

These databases were consolidated with the information that each EPS in the country reported on its affiliates and comorbidities and other risk situations, such as age, that they may have, he added.

Audit

The Ministry warned that both the EPS and the IPS that they will have the necessary surveillance and audit since the diagnoses they report on their affiliates will be those that allow updating the waiting “line” for the vaccine.

From the ministry explained that private vaccination will not be prohibited, but these doses will also have to comply with the Invima phytosanitary standards, as has been announced in other parts of the world with their respective entities equivalent to the Colombian institute.

In addition, the minister asked Colombians not to try to access the coronavirus vaccine in advance through judicial decisions, for which he also asked the judges for collaboration.

“If a person through a guardianship seeks to jump the line and pass over those over 60, 70 or 80 years old, it is producing that they have a risk of dying 600 times higher from covid-19 than those who are between 15 and 45 years of age; for this reason, we also make a call to the judges so that together we can consolidate this purpose ”, said the minister.

Exceptions

However, the application will also allow Colombians who consider that they should receive higher priority to apply the vaccine will be able to report with their arguments and the Government will make the corresponding validation.

On the other hand, the national government has coordinated logistical meetings with regional governments and with the country’s EPS to inform them about the National Vaccination Plan and within the framework of the enlistment plan to be carried out in January since the application of doses is expected to begin in February.

In this regard, the minister added that “in addition, the possibility of executing home vaccination days will be considered, in which support will be managed with health promoters so that they can summon, inform and reach places like Alta Guajira or Chocó; alternatives such as the Janssen vaccine pose a logistical solution since as far as is known, it will only be a single dose.
