The night of November 28, 2016 will never be forgotten by Jackson Follman, Alan Ruschel and Helio Zampier Neto, who were three of the six survivors of the Chapecoense tragedy. They, in addition, were the only players to make it out alive.
His dream was to play “you to you” to Atlético Nacional, the favorite to stay with the South American Cup, and “snatch” the title.
But that final was never played.

The charter plane in which they were going crashed, after 10 pm that night, in Cerro Gordo, a mountain in the Antioquia municipality of La Unión. They were very close to the runway of the José María Córdova airport.
After that fateful Monday, only Ruschel was able to touch a ball as a professional again. Neto spent two years trying to recover, but severe pain did not allow him to play, and Follmann, unfortunately, lost his right leg in the incident.

Jackson Follmann
Jackson Follmann had to have his right leg amputated because of the accident and for that reason he had to put aside his career as a goalkeeper. This represented a loss for the world of sport. However, it also allowed her to launch into the music industry as a singer.
Follman entered the 2019 edition of the Brazilian music contest ‘Pop Star’. The former player surprised the world with his talent and was declared the winner of that version.

“For me it was always a great challenge, from the beginning of the program, to go on stage, to challenge myself. I think my biggest opponent was myself, ”Follman said when he won the competition.

The artist sings sertaneja music, which originated in south-central Brazil and has the guitar as its main instrument. Until now, Follman has released three songs and one of them (‘Ball’), is dedicated to his passion for football.
Despite having retired from the courts, the singer is the official Chapecoense ambassador.

After your recovery, He decided to resume his life as a footballer and returned to defend the Chapecoense shirt.
The club, which is currently in the second division of Brazilian football, continues to give joy to its fans, as it won the Catarina Championship in September 2020.
In the celebration it was Ruschel who raised the glass, and in his Instagram account, he made reference to the triumph.

Helio Zampier Net
Another survivor who returned to the court was Helio Zampier Neto, although he did not continue his playing career.
Now he is the coach of the minor divisions of Chapecoense. There he has had the opportunity to share more with his son, 13 years old, because the youngest is also in the club.
“I am very proud of the person he is becoming. I always talk to him about having his feet on the ground, ”Neto told the Brazilian portal ‘Globo’.

The other three survivors of the 77 passengers were the journalist Rafael Henzel (who died in 2019 from a heart attack), the flight attendant Ximena Suárez and the technician Erwin Tumiri.
