On the afternoon of this Friday, August 28, the Ministry of Health reported that 59 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Cartagena, bringing the total number of infected to 20,145. Of that number, 18,468 patients have been recovered, that is, 89.73%.
In addition, the death of an 88-year-old man with Epoc was reported. With this victim the death toll rises to 516.
Bolivar
In the department of Bolívar, 60 new cases of contagion were confirmed, which brings the figure (not including Cartagena) to 4,659, of which 3,554 have been recovered.
Faced with the deaths, the death of two people was reported. This is a 66-year-old woman in the municipality of Turbaco, whose comorbidities are under study; and a 39-year-old man in Mompox with kidney disease.
Thus, the fatalities due to the virus amount to 179.
