The journalist Hugo Mario Palomar, news director of ‘Blu Radio Cali’, is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Valle de Lili Foundation, in Cali, after contracting the new coronavirus.
Ricardo Ospina, director of information services for ‘Blu Radio’, spoke on the subject and dedicated the broadcast of the radio program this Monday, December 7, to Palomar.

According to ‘Q’hubo Cali’, the also panelist of the program ‘Mañanas Blu’ entered the medical center on December 4 after his health deteriorated: he began to present respiratory problems after 6 days of having tested positive.
In previous days, Hugo Mario spoke on his social networks about some of his symptoms:
“I had a tachycardia. I had a high fever. They revived me with electric shocks. They stabilized my temperature and all the time I have breathed with the help of an oxygen mask ”. He also noted that “I feel very good. I am eating well. I am super well taken care of. This clinic is the best.

Before knowing the result of the test, the journalist had announced that he had “pneumonia, probably associated with covid. They took tests on everything, even an echocardiogram (I still don’t know the result).
In his last message on networks, published on December 5, when he was already hospitalized, the journalist assured that he was going to win the battle against this disease:
“After being in so many confrontations, the covid is not going to win this one. I am with God and with the best doctors. Thank you all for your messages and prayers. It’s good to know that you have so many friends ”.

On social media, his colleagues have been sending him expressions of support and strength. “God keep you and protect you, Hugo Mario, you come out of this strengthened!”, Wrote Ricardo Rincón. “Come on, my brother. Hugo Mario for a while,” said César Polanía, a journalist for ‘El País’. Camila Zuluaga, who directs the radio program in which Palomar participates, also expressed her solidarity.
For their part, his colleagues from ‘Blu Radio Cali’ invited him to a day of prayer for his speedy recovery.
