Bone remains found near the Tunjuelito river, south of Bogotá

At this moment, the Police are conducting the inspection at the site to find out if it is Sara Sofía Galván, the two-year-old minor reported missing in Bogotá.

In the middle of the anguished search for little Sara Sofía Galván, through the different tributaries in the south of the city, the rescue organizations found some skeletal remains in a box that, for now, do not specify what they are. Efforts, at this time, are focused on establishing whether they correspond to a human body and whether it corresponds to the girl Sara Sofía Galván or not.

So far it is known that the discovery was made with the help of bone detection dogs. This week the Police had announced that the search in the Tunjuelito River had ended, so they continued through other tributaries of the sector.

In the last hours, Interpol had issued a yellow circular to broaden the search for the minor in the world. The Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office was in charge of lifting the remains found. It is expected that later it will be known whether or not it is the little one.
