Exhaustion, despair, sadness, boredom would have been the causes for Sharick Lizeth Márquez, a 15-year-old girl, to decide to leave her house in the Santa Viviana neighborhood of the town of Ciudad Bolívar on November 18, 2020. And it is a scenario that many young people have suffered, and now much more after confinement.

After yesterday, November 27, she appeared safely in the house of her maternal grandmother in the municipality of Silvania, Cundinamarca, after a crusade by her family and friends to find her, many things came to light. The first thing is that the investigators determined that the girl had voluntarily left her home and that she took a fleet to reach Silvania. Also, that he arrived without knowing exactly where his grandmother lived and that he was looking for her for a whole day.

Likewise, after finding her, the grandmother notified the family police station of the situation. According to the mayor of Silvania, Nohora Sánchez, the girl argued that she escaped tired of scolding and arguing with her mother. He had had one the day before his escape, after not leaving a pot well washed.
“This girl, like many teenagers, has differences with her mother and that is why she wanted to get to her grandmother, suddenly without measuring the anguish her family was going through,” said Sánchez. On November 20, personnel from the police station visited the house where the young woman was staying and, through a social worker, a physical and psychological evaluation was carried out. It is at that moment when the girl mentions what would be considered a situation of domestic abuse that, however, has to be evaluated to confirm whether it exists or not.
Only on November 27, when the authorities of that municipality realized that the case was so high-profile and that the girl’s photo was circulating on all social networks, they immediately called the Sijín Disappearance Unit.

“We also learned that the grandmother had not called the girl’s parents because her phone was damaged,” said Mayor Sánchez, who, in addition, urged families to “tend to dialogue. It is important that parents talk with their children, that they understand them ”, he added. For now, the young woman continues in Silvania while the entire process of restitution of her rights is carried out. Her mother traveled to visit her yesterday.
On the other hand, the father said that he separated from the young woman’s mother for 13 years by mutual agreement and that he maintained a respectful relationship with his ex-partner. “I called her, and she always told me how my daughter was.”
Orlando, for his part, has said that he considers it wrong that the young woman’s grandmother had the girl and did not notify her family, the authorities or the media. TIME He spoke with him to hear his version and said that, so far, what he thought was that his daughter had a good relationship with her mother.
He says that he does not know of any relationship that the mother of the minor had with anyone. “I do not know of any romantic relationship that she was having. That would be a first for me ”. She admitted, yes, that the girl said that her mother would scold her on occasions. “But I advised him to calm down, to simply avoid fights by doing things right. I saw it as something normal, I never imagined anything serious. I don’t know about anything serious ”.
He also denied the versions that the girl suffered from bullying at school or that she had some kind of health problem. “That’s a lie, even recently he raised the flag and we went to eat to celebrate that.”
