The District of Barranquilla announced this Tuesday the new provisions for the commercial establishments operating in this city.
One of the provisions states that billiards they will work from now until 1:00 in the morning, as with bars and restaurants. Before, these businesses could serve the public only until 11 at night.
Another of the provisions defined in resolution 01 of 2021 published in the District Gazette indicates that the disinfection of shoes, the registration of entry to establishments, will be optional measures by commercial establishments. disinfectant mats, temperature measurements, spraying chemicals on people and tire disinfection, among others.
However, the administrative act reiterates the health recommendations such as constant hand washing, the use of masks and physical distancing to prevent the spread of covid-19.
These new provisions on the biosafety protocols applied in the city were established taking into account the international literature and the evidence published by organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control, on effective practices to stop the spread of the virus. .
However, the District Mayor’s Office urges commercial establishments and citizens to Comply with mandatory measures such as the correct and permanent use of masks, washing or disinfection constant hands, and physical distancing.
Establishments that do not comply with the biosafety protocols and the measures will be sanctioned with a fine equivalent to $ 936 thousand and the temporary suspension of the activity for not complying with the safety or health regulations or provisions for the development of economic activity in accordance with its corporate purpose, in accordance with the Article 94 of Law 1801 of 2016.
In the terms of article 196 of Law 1801 of 2016, the reiteration of this behavior contrary to coexistence will lead to a three-month closure.
