Carlos Andrés Vasco, secretary of health of Córdoba, confirmed to EL TIEMPO that the nursing assistant Yeidis Johana Pérez Martínez, who presented a clinical picture in Sahagún, He is stable, under monitoring, without ventilatory support and in a highly complex hospital in Montería, and his exams show no abnormalities.

This concept was issued by Vasco after personally visiting Pérez Martínez and reviewing what happened with this health worker.

And although this symptomatology appeared hours after receiving the vaccine against covid-19, the Basque secretary affirms that it is being investigated if his condition is related to the application of the dose against the coronavirus.

According to local media reports from her relatives, the assistant presented a neurological condition that required medical attention and transfer to the city of Montería.

Likewise, Vasco stated that on Tuesday a joint meeting was held with representatives of Invima, the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Health and the local health secretaries to analyze the case in depth and at this time the investigations are continuing that for now they have not established a relationship of the symptoms with the vaccine.

Vasco expressed a message of solidarity with the family of the health worker and, given the importance of the case, said to be aware of its evolution.
