The death of Mexican singer-songwriter Armando Manzanero, due to complications related to the coronavirus, left a void in the romantic song.

This was confirmed by herself in an interview with the program ‘Ventaneando’, of the Mexican channel ‘TV Azteca’.
According to him, he was infected on December 7 while he was celebrating what would be his father’s last birthday, celebrated in Oaxaca de Juárez, a city in southern Mexico.
Hours before this statement Juan Pablo, his older brother, had told the newspaper ‘Reforma’ that some of his relatives had been infected in that celebration, but he did not specify who it was.

Mainca underwent the diagnostic test after his father tested positive, on December 18, as reported at the time by the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico.
“We didn’t really think it was coronavirus: (I had) pain in the body and discomfort, but nothing else “, explained in the interview with ‘Ventaneando’.

It must be remembered that Maínca was diagnosed in 2013 with breast cancer, a disease that she managed to overcome in 2017.
The woman added that she is isolated at home as a precaution, although she did not mention if she continues to have symptoms.
On the state of his relatives, he assured in the same program that Laura Elena Villa (49 years old), with whom Manzanero married in 2014, was not infected.

“Those who are aware right now are my older brothers and I don’t really know what they are going to do yet.”, He added. He also explained that the last he knew was that his father’s ashes were going to be taken to Mérida, in the Mexican state of Yucatán, where he was from, since he died in Mexico City.
