On March 27, the ‘Happy Saturdays’ actress accompanied her uncle to the San Ignacio University Hospital, where he was summoned to receive his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, and to their surprise, when it was their relative’s turn, they realized that the syringes were previously filled, so they asked to check the name and expiration date directly on the container of the substance.

This is where Alexandra Restrepo’s complaint comes, as she assures that “the nurse Bibiana Lizeth Mayorga Camargo said that they were not obliged to show anything and that if we did not want to vaccinate him we could go and sign the withdrawal”, thus denying them a basic right of the patient.

Given the refusal and lack of guarantees in the procedure, Restrepo and his relatives decided not to sign, but neither to vaccinate his hypertensive uncle, in order to take care of his health.

The comedian, who already had COVID-19 and left some sequels, ended the account of her story on Twitter with a call to the Ministry of Health and the entities corresponding to her case to re-book her uncle’s appointment, but in “a place that complies with the protocols ”.

This was the series of trills with which Alexandra Restrepo recounted the case:

Alexandra Restrepo’s concern is completely valid, taking into account the cases of empty syringes and other irregularities that have been registered in the country since the vaccination plan began, such as the recent case that was seen in Chía, Cundinamarca.
