A 30-year-old woman, identified as Claudia Lorena Mosquera, was murdered by her own father on Sunday night in the middle of a fight in the El Rodeo neighborhood, east of Cali.
The 54-year-old aggressor was caught in flagrante delicto by the authorities after notices from the community about what happened.
The woman, with serious injuries caused by a knife, was transferred to a health center, where she died.
Units from the Mobile Anti-Riot Squad (Esmad) had to be present at the scene to allow the arrest of the alleged murderer to take effect, as the neighborhood community intended to lynch him.

According to the authorities, what happened is the subject of an investigation and the only certainty is that the incident occurred inside a home with the relatives of the victim and the aggressor present.
