The number of infected in Antioquia this Wednesday is 2,008

The Sectional Secretariat of Health and Social Protection of Antioquia reported that there were 2,008 new registered cases of infected by Covid-19 in the department and it rises to 169,425.

All these new infected have been previously identified, placed in isolation and under the corresponding epidemiological surveillance.

With these new cases, the number of infected people in the department of Antioquia amounts to 176,354. 88,741 of them are women and 87,613 are men.

ACTIVE CASES IN ANTIOQUIA:

Likewise, it indicates that there are (716) hospitalized patients: (409) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (307) in general hospitalization.

In relation to patients from other departments and who are hospitalized there are (4) people. De Chocó (1) in ICU, Boyacá (1) in ICU, Santander (1) in general hospitalization and Risaralda (1) in ICU.

Regarding ICU beds, the department has 991 for COVID patients. Of them, 796 are occupied as follows: 408 occupied with COVID patients, 113 suspected of COVID and 275 non-COVID. In other words, the occupancy of ICU beds in the department is 80.32%.
