Antioquia had 1,127 new covid cases today

The Sectional Secretariat of Health and Social Protection of Antioquia reported that 1,127 new registered cases of infected by Covid-19 in the department and rises to 174,345.

In Medellín there are (715), Bello (110), Itagüí (79), Envigado (56), Rionegro (29), Sabaneta (26), Caldas (20), Copacabana (18), Girardota (17), La Estrella ( 11), Carmen de Viboral (9), Barbosa (5), San Andrés de Cuerquia (4), El Retiro (4), Entrerríos (3), Apartadó (3), Marinilla (3), Santa fe de Antioquia (3 ), Puerto Triunfo (2), San Jerónimo (1), Chigorodó (1), Guarne (1), Puerto Berrío (1), Hispania (1), Sopetrán (1), Cocorná (1), Carepa (1), Buriticá (1) and Sonsón (1).

All these new infected have been previously identified, placed in isolation and under the corresponding epidemiological surveillance.

With these new cases, the number of infected people in the department of Antioquia amounts to 174,345. Of these 87,647 are women and 86,698 are men.

ACTIVE CASES IN ANTIOQUIA:

Medellín there are 1,766 cases and the remaining 1,378 are distributed as follows in the following municipalities: Bello (296), Itagüí (193), Envigado (168), Rionegro (114), Sabaneta (87), Caldas (80), Girardota (70) , Copacabana (46), La Estrella (41), Carmen de Viboral (27), Marinilla (26), Guarne (20), La Ceja (20), Apartadó (18), Barbosa (18), El Retiro (13) , Puerto Berrío (9), Turbo (8), Yarumal (8), Entrerríos (6), Carepa (6), San Roque (6), Santa Rosa de Osos (5), Zaragoza (5), San Andrés de Cuerquia (5), Betulia (4), La Unión (4), Hispania (3), Ituango (3), Puerto Triunfo (3), Cocorná (3), Santa fe de Antioquia (3), Peque (3), Donmatías (3), Ciudad Bolívar (3), Tarazá (3), Chigorodó (3), Tarso (2), Amalfi (2), Concepción (2), Sonsón (2), Sopetrán (2), El Bagre (2) , Gómez Plata (2), Segovia (2), San Jerónimo (2), Yondó (2), San Carlos (2), Ebéjico (1), Nechí (1), Cisneros (1), Cáceres (1), Remedios (1), El Santuario (1), Urrao (1), Cañasgordas (1), San Pedro de los Milagros (1), Caucasia (1), U ramita (1), Caracolí (1), San Luis (1), Guatapé (1), Andes (1), Támesis (1), San José de la Montaña (1), San Francisco (1), Buriticá (1) , La Pintada (1), Briceño (1), Maceo (1) and San Vicente (1).

Likewise, it indicates that there are (733) hospitalized patients: (400) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (333) in general hospitalization.

Regarding the patients from other departments and who are hospitalized there are (4) people. De Chocó (1) in ICU, Boyacá (1) in ICU, Santander (1) in general hospitalization and Risaralda (1) in ICU.

Regarding ICU beds, the department has 991 for COVID patients. Of these, 772 are occupied as follows: 399 occupied with COVID patients, 106 COVID suspects and 267 non-COVID. That is, the occupancy of ICU beds in the department is 77.90%.
