Video | This was the harrowing moment when a car in Bogotá rammed a motorcyclist and fled

Outrage on social networks after an amateur video was known in which a high-end car in Bogotá rammed a motorcyclist and without noticing the victim’s health, he fled. The motorcyclist literally flew off and fell to the ground, the events were recorded in race 15 with 82nd street.

Hours later, it was known that the same vehicle and collided with another car later on and caused a road incident. Both events took place in the Zona Rosa in the town of Chapinero. The local mayor’s office strongly rejected the event:

“From the Mayor’s Office of Chapinero we reject all kinds of inappropriate acts on our roads and of course the imprudence that occurs,” said Oscar Ramos, president of the town. Now, the public force analyzes the recordings of the security cameras in the area, in order to identify and find the person responsible for the traffic accident.

The video shows how the high-end car moves to the side, apparently looking for a space between the platform and the motorcyclist and when it cannot find it, it turns to the right, ramming the motorbike driver and following his march. In addition, the video manages to capture that the traffic light continues in red and without caring what happened, the driver starts to flee.

The Police are verifying the license plates of the vehicle with security cameras to find the person responsible for the incident. The motorcyclist has already been discharged.

“He is a 23-year-old young man who is in a medical center with injuries, mild head trauma and hip trauma. We invite you to appear before the traffic authorities to file the respective complaint, ”Colonel Zulma Leguízamo, commander of the Bogotá Traffic Police, told Noticias Caracol.

Users in networks also criticized the attitude of another cyclist who passed through the scene immediately after the accident, as he did not seem to be interested in the least because of what had just happened with one of his colleagues on the road.

The cyclist is known to have already left the hospital and is in good health, largely thanks to the protection of his helmet and the presence of the vehicle that was escorting him.
