A Halloween party in which there were more than 200 young people, several of them minors, was dismantled on Saturday night by the authorities in the north of Cali, confirmed the Secretary of Security.

The meeting took place inside a house in the Veracruz neighborhood of the capital of Valle, revealed Jimmy Dranguet, undersecretary of Inspection, Surveillance and Control of the city.

“Due to citizen complaints, we arrived in the Veracruz neighborhood, we found more than 200 young people agglomerated in a house, they were charging the entrance to $ 10,000. The house was divided into three floors and in each one they had a different music. There was sale of liquor and meals. They are clearly in breach of district decree 1888, “said Dranguet.

He added that “it is inconceivable that underage boys organize these mass parties, not complying with all biosecurity measures and putting the life and health of the people of Cali at risk.”

The official announced that drastic measures will be taken with the event organizers.

“We are going to apply the most drastic sanctions for the organizers, fines that exceed $ 90 million, and we are going to refer them to the Prosecutor’s Office so that they can apply article 368 and face custodial sentences of between four and eight years”, Indian.

Dranguet regretted that many of the parents of the young people did not know where their children were and only found out about 1:00 am, when they went to claim them at the site where the party was held.

“We require parents to be more responsible with their children and not allow this type of situation,” he warned.

The operation had the support of the Police for Children and Adolescents, the Municipal Attorney General and the Family Police Station of the sector, who will be in charge of taking the pertinent actions.

The authorities carried out various operations throughout the city during the night of this Saturday, October 31, and the early hours of this Sunday to prevent agglomerations, caravans or alterations to public order such as those presented on Friday.

“We have a robust police device in coordination with the Mayor’s Office of Cali. We have a special operations room from where the Police service is oriented, through security cameras that are allowing us to interpret and know what the displacement and alerts are. to intervene in the face of an event that leads to social disorder, “said the commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police, Colonel Manuel Vásquez, who also added that the authorities have a helicopter that helps monitor what is happening in the city .
