316 new cases in Antioquia, half of those infected with covid are in Medellín

The Sectional Secretariat of Health and Social Protection of Antioquia reported that 316 new registered cases of infected by Covid-19 in the department and rises to 120,542.

In Medellín there are (158), Bello (27), Itagüí (18), Rionegro (14), Envigado (13), La Estrella (11), Carepa (9), El Bagre (8), Sabaneta (7), Marinilla (5), Caldas (5), Guarne (5), Girardota (5), Apartadó (4), Barbosa (4), Salgar (2), Turbo (2), Copacabana (2), El Retiro (2), La Ceja (2), Necoclí (1), Camp (1), Entrerríos (1), Andes (1), Caucasia (1), Chigorodó (1), Puerto Triunfo (1), Cisneros (1), San Jerónimo ( 1), Santa Rosa de Osos (1), Jardín (1), Carmen de Viboral (1) and Yarumal (1).

All these new infected have been previously identified, placed in isolation and under the corresponding epidemiological surveillance.

With these new cases, the number of infected people in the department of Antioquia amounts to 120,542. Of these, 59,285 are women and 61,257 are men.

ACTIVE CASES IN ANTIOQUIA:

In Medellín there are 1,852 cases and the remaining 1,110 are distributed as follows in the following municipalities: Bello (168), Itagüí (113), Envigado (95), Caldas (61), Rionegro (54), Copacabana (40), La Estrella ( 40), Girardota (39), Sabaneta (38), Marinilla (25), Apartadó (23), Guarne (22), Carepa (12), El Bagre (11), Barbosa (10), El Retiro (7), Santa Rosa de Osos (6), La Ceja (6), Yarumal (6), Carmen de Viboral (5), Ciudad Bolívar (3), Turbo (3), El Peñol (3), Dabeiba (3), Puerto Triunfo (3), Amagá (3), Chigorodó (2), Briceño (2), Santa fe de Antioquia (2), Granada (2), San Pedro de los Milagros (2), Cisneros (2), Puerto Berrío (2 ), Salgar (2), Camp (1), Cocorná (1), Garden (1), Giraldo (1), San Jerónimo (1), Necoclí (1), Liborina (1), Andes (1), Peque ( 1), Heliconia (1), Concepción (1), Segovia (1), Urrao (1), Betulia (1), Armenia (1), Remedios (1), Caucasia (1), Entrerríos (1), Venice ( 1) and San Roque (1).

Likewise, it points out that there are (632) hospitalized patients: (315) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (317) in general hospitalization.

Regarding the patients from other departments and who are hospitalized there are (10) people. From Chocó (3) are in a general room, Córdoba (1) in ICU and (3) in general hospitalization, Boyacá (1) in general hospitalization, Sucre (1) in ICU and Nariño (1) in general hospitalization.

Regarding ICU beds, the department has 923 for COVID patients, of the latter there are 669 occupied, between confirmed and suspected patients. In other words, the occupation of COVID beds in the department is 72.48%.
