The video lasts 40 seconds and is from a security camera located in an alley of the Manuela Beltrán neighborhood, in Soledad (Atlántico), and it is observed when an armed man chases another to shoot him.
The hit man takes advantage of the fact that the victim turns his back on him and that is when he hits her on several occasions, and then he flees in search of an accomplice who was waiting for him on a motorcycle.
Ground Zero, which released the recording over the weekend, said the murdered man was Alexander Junior Girl Garcia, known by the alias of ‘Alex Gago’, and that the hitman who shot him was pursued for more than a kilometer by several policemen on motorcycles.
The persecution, which the media describes as cinematographic, ended in the La Cabrera neighborhood, with a dead man and the motorcycle driver captured.
The commander of the Police in Barranquilla, General Diego Rosero, summarized the case in statements he gave to local media.
“There is a police pursuit of the hit man, who flees on a motorcycle in the company of another subject. The chase was made in about 15 blocks. Finally, in the El Cabrero neighborhood, they are reached. There is a confrontation and one of the criminals is killed, “said the officer.

Media such as El Universal identified the discharged man as Israel Mendez Jimenez, and the Police confirmed that he has four records: “Two for the escape of prisoners, one for illegally carrying a firearm and another for qualified and aggravated theft.”
As for ‘Álex Gago’, the Cartagena media said that he also had annotations “for carrying drugs and qualified theft”. That is why General Rosero referred to this case as “a confrontation between criminals” who, apparently, are fighting over an area for drug trafficking.
In addition to the two deaths, in the shooting confrontation between criminals and police, two more people were injured: a 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old young man. The latter is in delicate health in a hospital.
As for the man who was riding the motorcycle, Xavier Andrés Domínguez Barrios, the Barranquilla media reported that a judge sent him to prison for the crimes of aggravated homicide and illegal possession of weapons, charges to which he was not accepted.
