The Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla announced that, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, lthe city will begin the application of vaccines to covi-19, with the strategy “Baquna tu vida”.
The District Health Secretariat indicated that for the District’s public network, the vaccination will be opened with my MiRed IPS, where 1,068 doses will be applied at the CAMINO Adelita de Char and Hospital de Barranquilla headquarters.
The private health network in Barranquilla begins the COVID-19 vaccination day in the first line of support and human talent with the health professionals of the clinics:
- General del Norte: 852 doses.
- Ibero-America: 396 doses.
- Bonnadone: 180 doses.
- SEARCH: 60 doses.
The District reiterated that vaccination in Barranquilla is governed by the criteria and guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
- Prioritize IPS with a greater number of adult ICU beds.
- Prioritize public IPS.
- Prioritize strategic IPS for the territory.
- Prioritize IPS that has a 100% active vaccination point in its facilities and guarantee continuity in the sessions this year.
The first group of stage 1 is expected to complete in the coming weeks, to continue at the end of February and the beginning of March with the population over 80 years of age, according to the arrivals and dispatches of other biologicals by the national government.
