The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá announced the new measures that will govern the city as of this Friday, the day on which there will no longer be quarantine by localities, and with its confirmation it implied that the peak and cedula will remain for a few more weeks.
Now the capital of the country will adopt isolation by UPZ, those areas that bring together neighborhoods of a certain locality. There will be nine UPZs that must be in quarantine from January 29 to February 12. (See also: Complete list of neighborhoods that will enter the new quarantine, in Bogotá)
For its part, this weekend there will be no general confinement throughout the city, but yes night curfew from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am The peak and ID will continue to run, as has happened throughout the month of January.
Peak and schedule January 28, 2021
This Thursday is an even day. So things, Bogota citizens who have an identity card ending in an even number (2, 4, 6, 8 and 0) have restriction at the moment of wanting to enter the public and private places of the city. In this way, citizens with an odd number ending ID (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) will be able to leave their homes to carry out the actions they have programmed.
Exceptions peak and Bogotá ID
The measure does not apply in the following cases:
- Notarial, banking, financial and administrative services and procedures that require the simultaneous appearance of two or more people for their performance.
- The person who supports the elderly, people with disabilities or sick with special treatments that require accompaniment to carry out activities or procedures.
- To medical personnel and others related to the provision of the health service, who must be duly identified.
- The distribution of liquid fuels derived from petroleum, in accordance with the provisions of National Decree 1521 of 1998.
- Hotel activity and the provision of gastronomic services in restaurants.
How long will the peak and ID go in Bogotá?
The Mayor’s Office had announced a couple of weeks ago that this measure would be in effect until January 31, but after the new phase of quarantine by UPZ was announced, everything seems to indicate that it will last during February.
However, the District has not fully confirmed an exact date when this restriction will no longer apply.

Quarantined locations today
This Thursday there are seven towns in Bogotá that have mandatory isolation, since they were the last to initiate it. However, they finish it this Thursday at 11:59 pm
In quarantined parts of the city, its inhabitants can only leave their homes to stock up and do other basic things, while commercial establishments that do not sell basic necessities must operate with domiciles.
