According to General Manuel Antonio Vásquez, commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police, this individual evaded the security controls of the healthcare center, arrived at the patient’s room and injected him with an unknown substance.
“After receiving this substance, his state of health deteriorated. However, thanks to the actions of the medical team, he could be stabilized,” he said.

General Vásquez stated that the patient had been the victim of a hitman attack in Jamundí on December 6.
“10 days earlier, that same victim had been attacked with a firearm and thanks to the timely response of the police patrols, her aggressor was caught in flagrante delicto,” he said.

It should be clarified that the attack with the unknown substance occurred on Wednesday, December 16, but was only revealed this Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the health center where this incident was registered indicated, through a statement, that the Prosecutor’s Office is already investigating what happened.
