As of this Monday, December 21, the measure will take effect. Remember that people with identification cards ending in an odd number will not be able to enter any commercial establishment today, as well as cars whose license plate ends in odd numbers will not be able to circulate at certain times.
Despite COVID-19, the almost traditional agglomerations of the holiday season have been the protagonists in Bogotá. This is the reason why the mayor Claudia López made the decision to implement again the peak and ID for the entrance to establishments of all kinds and thus avoid the high flow of people.

In that order of ideas, not only will it be an atypical end of the year due to this restriction, but also the District decided not to raise the pick and plate for private cars as was customary for the Christmas season and the first days of January.
At this point it is important to clarify that each measure is different and does not interfere with one another, so the restriction for vehicles will be carried out normally.
The only similarity between the two measures is that it applies on odd days (like today, December 21) for people whose ID cards end in an odd number and vehicles with a license plate ending in an odd number. The even days, the plates and cards that end in these numbers (0,2,4,6 and 8) are those that will have the restriction.
The peak and plate start from 6:00 in the morning to 8:30 in the morning and resume from 3:00 in the afternoon to 7:30 at night.

Similarly, remember that there are exceptions for shared private vehicles, with three or more passengers (including the driver). Also for electric and hybrid cars, for health personnel, and for those who have accessed the measure of the “solidarity peak and plate”, an initiative that seeks to generate additional resources for the city’s Public Transportation System.
On the other hand, the peak and ID applies to all types of commercial establishments where activities such as the acquisition and payment of goods and services are carried out, and the purchase of any product at retail and wholesale. These include banking, financial, notarial and citizen service entities in public entities.
The bill and ID will not be applied to access health centers, pharmacies and funeral services, or in case of notarial, banking, financial and administrative procedures in which the simultaneous presence of two or more people is required.
