The Covid in Antioquia does not give truce, 2,030 new cases are reported and the number of infected rises 240,662

The Sectional Secretariat of Health of Antioquia sent a new report on the behavior of Covid – 19 in the department. Today’s report, December 19, 2020, registers 2,030 new cases and 240,662 infected.

Likewise, it points out that there are (685) hospitalized patients: (405) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (280) in general hospitalization.
Regarding patients from other departments, there are (9) hospitalized people. From Chocó (3) in general hospitalization and (1) in ICU, from Boyacá (1) in general hospitalization, from San Andrés Islas (1) in general hospitalization, from Santander (1) in general hospitalization, from Caldas (1) in general hospitalization and Quindío (1) in general hospitalization.

Regarding the ICU beds in the department, among which are those destined for the care of patients with COVID19 and patients with other pathologies, Antioquia has a total of 1,250 beds. Of these there are, to date, 942 occupied like this: 296 with COVID patients, 114 suspected of COVID and 532 non-COVID. Thus, the occupancy of ICU beds in the department today is 75.36%.
