Wilfredo Murcia Naranjo, a 50-year-old man, is the new crime victim in Bogotá. He died this December 15, at 5:19 in the morning, on a SITP bus that covers the Verbenal del Sur-20 de Julio route, at the height of Carrera 24 with Calle 39.

“It is mean that they killed him like this, he has four children and lived with his wife in the El Lucero neighborhood of Ciudad Bolívar. He comes early in the morning to lend his job as a guard and they kill him in this cruel way, it is not fair. The SITP is a walk of death, “said Raúl Ernesto Pinto Vargas, a relative.

The family says that the victim’s son, Alexánder Murcia, is claiming the body of his father, who would have bought their new clothes on December 24, also from his grandchildren. Before he worked as a builder and now he worked as a caretaker. He leaves behind four children of 17, 20, 27 and 29 years old. Also four grandchildren. “He was a good friend, unconditional,” said Raúl.

At about 5 in the morning the robbery was registered, right at the bus stop of the Tunal shopping center. It was in that place where Wilfredo Murcia Naranjo, apparently, resisted a robbery by a criminal with a firearm.

The wounds were fatal. According to the Emergency Regulatory Center (Crue), when health agencies arrived at the place, this citizen had visible gunshot wounds: one in the precordial region and another in the abdominal region. There was nothing to do, the man had died at the scene.

The authorities are looking for the other passengers on this bus in order to identify characteristics of the aggressor, since they all left in a hurry after the murder. “We offer a reward of 20 million pesos for whoever gives us information, even anonymously about this criminal”, said Major General Óscar Gómez Heredia, commander of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police.

Until now, more details are unknown. The truth is that this news shocks the city again. Even the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, spoke on the subject. “To the family and friends of the citizen, our deepest condolences.”

There is already an image of the criminal who committed this crime, the Bogotá Metropolitan Police reported.
