The preliminary information was reported by Tránsito Bogotá, on Twitter, with a map of the location where the ambulance crashed into the articulated bus that was carrying passengers, in the town of Kennedy.

At the same time, Firefighters Bogotá shared photos of the procedure to “rescue” two people who were trapped inside the emergency vehicle, since the entire front part was completely wrinkled by the impact.

In the images it is not clear if the ambulance was taking a patient to a hospital, since various media outlets used the hypothesis that the driver allegedly took the exclusive lane of the system due to an emergency.

Transmilenio responded through its press channel that the vehicle should not have taken that lane because it did not have permission to do so.

“Ambulance not authorized to travel by exclusive lane,” confirmed the Transmilenio system.

At the moment the health status of the two occupants of the ambulance is unknown, and authorities ruled out that the passengers who were on the bus suffered any injuries.

These are the images that Firefighters published on Twitter, and there it can be seen that the crash was quite strong.
