The Argentine star Lionel Messi remembered the coach of the Argentine team runner-up in the Brazil-2014 World Cup, Alejandro Sabella, who died on Tuesday, highlighting that he was a man who marked him and from whom he learned a lot.

“It was a pleasure to share so much with you. Alejandro was a great person, as well as being an impressive professional who marked me in my career and I learned a lot from him,” Messi said in an Instagram message.

“We live together some of my best soccer memories during the World Cup qualification stage and also at the World Cup. My condolences to all his family and friends,” concluded the Argentine star, with a photo of him hugging Sabella.

The former Argentine coach died this Tuesday at the age of 66, a victim of cancer, complicated by an in-hospital virus while he was admitted to a sanatorium in Buenos Aires, reported the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
