According to Coronell, until last year Isabella Pulgar Mota, the congressman’s daughter, worked with Margarita Cabello, that from next January she will assume her position as the new Attorney General of the Nation.

Ms. Pulgar Mota, as the columnist calls her, was Cabello’s judicial assistant when she was a magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice and they would have worked together for more than a year.

The relationship between the two began in August 2018, when Isabella was named by Cabello as a judge in the same room of the Supreme Court of Justice that investigated his mother, former senator Karime Mota, for the crime of influence peddling and illicit enrichment.

“In April of this year, when Isabella had finished her practice in the high court, the Chamber of Instruction of the Supreme Court decided to archive the case against her mother,” says Daniel Coronell, in his column this Sunday in Los Danieles.

One more element that the columnist puts on the table has to do with the decision made by the then attorney Ordóñez, who revoked an inability that Eduardo Pulgar had against him for alleged acts of corruption when he was part of the Council in Barranquilla.

“The decision of the attorney Ordóñez came after Karime Mota, then wife of Pulgar, voted in favor of his re-election,” adds Coronell.

For the journalist it is evident that Eduardo Pulgar has everything to win in the process for which he is detained currently for allegedly attempting to bribe a judge.

“Thumb wins with face and wins with stamp. If it is the Attorney General’s Office, her friend Margarita Cabello will decide. If it is the Ethics Commission, it will be resolved by his colleagues who have never sanctioned a senator ”, Daniel Coronell sentenced.

Eduardo Pulgar Case

The week that begins, the State Council must make a decision on whether the Pulgar process will be resolved by the Attorney General’s Office or by the Senate Ethics Committee. Among the novelties that exist in this case, it stands out that the defense of the senator, led by Jaime Granados, will appeal the “delicate” health in which he is and for which he should not go to jail.

Granados said in a recent statement that he wants Eduardo Pulgar Comply with the insurance measure that was imposed on you in a place where your health is not exposed.

“We will request that se value the delicate state of health of my client that makes him prone to multiple and serious diseases and is allowed to submit to the security measure in a place that does not endanger his life ”, read in document.
