This is how the 1,417 new cases of covid are distributed in Antioquia

The Sectional Secretariat of Health and Social Protection of Antioquia reported that 1,417 new registered cases of Covid-19 were presented in the department and it rises to 216,833.

In Medellín there are (778), Bello (122), Rionegro (105), Itagüí (84), Envigado (54), Caldas (30), Sabaneta (27), La Ceja (22), Carmen de Viboral (19), Copacabana (18), Marinilla (12), Vigía del Fuerte (11), Barbosa (10), La Unión (9), Ciudad Bolívar (9), Girardota (9), La Estrella (8), Amagá (7), Yolombó (7), Guarne (6), Yarumal (5), Andes (4), Jardín (4), Puerto Berrío (4), El Retiro (4), Carolina del Príncipe (3), Urrao (3), El Sanctuary (3), San Vicente (3), El Bagre (2), Cocorná (2), Santa Rosa de Osos (2), Apartadó (2), Caucasia (2), San Carlos (2), El Peñol (2 ), Guatapé (2), Amalfi (2), Buriticá (2), San Juan de Urabá (1), Sopetrán (1), Angelópolis (1), Jericó (1), Fredonia (1), Turbo (1), Carepa (1), Remedios (1), Santa fe de Antioquia (1), Concordia (1), Mutatá (1), Armenia (1), Chigorodó (1), Cisneros (1), La Pintada (1), Abejorral (1) and Granada (1).

All these new infected have been previously identified, placed in isolation and under the corresponding epidemiological surveillance.

With these new cases, the number of infected people in the department of Antioquia amounts to 216,833. Of them 110,462 are women and 106,371 are men.

Likewise, it indicates that there are (663) hospitalized patients: (387) in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, and (276) in general hospitalization.

Regarding the patients coming from other departments there are (2) hospitalized people. From Chocó (1) in general hospitalization and from Boyacá (1) in general hospitalization.

Regarding ICU beds In the department, among which are those destined for the care of patients with COVID19 and patients with other pathologies, Antioquia has a total of 1,241 beds. Of these there are, to date, 932 occupied like this: 286 with COVID patients, 130 COVID suspects and 516 non-COVID. Thus, the occupancy of ICU beds in the department today is 75.10%.
